The Mason Creative Swap Case Study

Case Study: The Mason Ad Creative Refresh 

The Mason is a breathtaking condominium property located near Park City, Utah. Formerly known as the Lodge at Stillwater, The Mason was acquired by luxury real estate developers and is undergoing a full renovation and expansion. The Mason sits on the Jordanelle Reservoir, across the street from Deer Valley East Village—perfectly situated in a beautiful location at the center of all the action for adventures. 

In collaboration with The Mason, we recreated the ad creative and messaging for both their social media and display campaigns. The results were extraordinary. 

The Challenge

The Mason sought to elevate their brand’s presence through more engaging ad creative that was cohesive across all marketing channels. This would ultimately help them sell their new, luxury condos. The primary goal was to drive qualified leads to their brokerage team. In addition, the development team wanted to increase engagement with potential buyers at the top of the marketing funnel and drive traffic to their website.

Our team at Sky Digital Media had already crafted a full-funnel and cross-platform campaign using existing creative, which was already running and experiencing great results for their marketing goals: 

  1. Amplify engagement with potential buyers
  2. Increase qualified website traffic
  3. Boost the number of qualified leads

The new ads would need to showcase the beauty of the property and tell the story of the experiences and adventures that are easily accessible and available to potential buyers. The creative assets would also need to capture attention, include clear calls to action, and remain consistent with their luxury branding. 

The Solution

Our team at Sky Digital Media analyzed the data for active campaigns and wanted to see what results would come with updating the ad creative. The Mason agreed to give our talented creative team a try to see what we could do. 

We created multiple primary and retargeting ads for both social and display to showcase the luxury property through beautiful imagery while being direct with messaging and calls-to-action. We also included messaging highlighting urgency, as the condos were 90% sold out at the time of the creative refresh.

The Results

After the creative swap in June 2024, we saw incredible results within the first month of running the refreshed ads:  

  • Click-through rate (CTR) increased 87% month over month across all campaigns
  • Display ad results:
    • Flight dates: 5/20 – 6/17.  232 clicks, .08% CTR
    • Creative swap June 20
    • Flight dates: 6/17-7/17. 415 clicks, .13% CTR
  • CTR also exceeded the industry standard of .12%, with some ads as high as .44% CTR

The results illustrated an increased engagement with both the messaging and imagery. This case study also demonstrates how important it is to periodically refine and update ad creative for better campaign results.
